About Paul

Paul is the Wildlife Care Manager at Ensessakotteh in Ethiopia. The sanctuary is run by Born Free and rescues a wide variety of animals from traffickers, poachers, pet owners etc. The current wildlife includes African Lion, Spotted Hyena, Cheetah, Hamadryas and Olive Baboons, Vervets, Geladas, various deer/antelope, birds of prey and tortoises.

Paul previously worked at Wild Futures’ Monkey Sanctuary. Working along side Woolly Monkeys, Capuchins, Marmosets and Barbary Macaques. During this time Paul gained experience in primate healthcare, public speaking, managing staff and primate conservation.

Paul completed his first degree (BSc Hons) in wildlife conservation with zoo biology in 2009 and he completed his MSc in Habitat Management and Conservation (ecology) in January 2012. He is now planning to push ahead with his primary life goal of helping to conserve the magnificent flora and fauna of this world.
